ART training session in Bethesda

A workshop is coming up in Bethesda for mental health professionals who want to implement ART protocols.

ART stands for Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and is a type of psychotherapy based on other well-understood therapies, but it usually achieves more rapid results. ART can be effective for those with such mental health issues as anxiety, grief, panic attacks, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and co-dependency.

The course is aimed at Licensed Mental Health Professionals including nurses, family and marriage therapists, professional counselors, mental health counselors, psychologists, and social workers. The aim of the training is to provide these professionals with the skill and knowledge to implement ART in their own practice.

The training’s objectives are to define ART and its use in the treatment of mental health; teach professionals how to incorporate ART interventions into practice in a clinical setting; identify and practice how a script for a “Typical Day” can be applied to problems and issues that are ongoing; identify and practice how ART can be applied successfully to professionals working with clients who have a trauma diagnosis; understand Basic ART scripts and how to use them; and understand the eye movement therapy used in ART, and how it benefits patients.

The training will take place at ART International in Bethesda, on August 26, 27, and 28. COVID protocols will be in effect. Experts organizing events like this can turn to brochure printing to create course materials.
