Scott Plank's development company, War Horse Cities, has acquired a number of waterfront properties, including retail and office spaces, boat slips, and a heliport, from Baltimore Marine Centers.
The purchase involved a number of entities including BMC Lighthouse Point and BMC Inner Harbor. According to War Horse, it will work with stakeholders in the area on its development plan.
Plank noted that War Horse has already developed a number of projects in the area, many of which are dissimilar to one another. The list includes Belvedere Square, the Francis Scott Key School, Anthem House, and others. He went on to name other projects on the waterfront that have become very popular, such as the Rusty Scupper, Sandlot, and the Loch Bar, and said he is glad to be joining their ranks. Plank says his company wants to strengthen Baltimore and drive the economy with projects like the waterfront.
Properties on Baltimore's harbors are among the most valuable parcels in the city. Their potential has drawn investment from firms like Sagamore Development and Beatty Development recently. Companies like this are undertaking huge projects that could potentially change the skyline of the city.
Since projects like this are of interest to many people including area residents, stakeholders, and potential tenants, developers could work with a brochure printing company to create an illustrated, detailed brochure that clearly describes the project.
