Runners return to Baltimore streets this autumn

Baltimore is soon to celebrate a marathon that has attracted countless runners for well over two decades. The 25th annual Baltimore Marathon represents much more than a race. It also provides a means to celebrate the local community, and to meet like-minded fitness enthusiasts.

Organizers claim that more than 368,000 runners have already competed in this race over the years. So, it only stands to reason that the 2025 marathon should appeal to just as many competitors. Note that while the marathon is the most well-known attraction, other events include the Chessie Challenge, the Black-Eyed Susan Challenge, and a marathon of 0.05K hosted by 98 ROCK.

There is even a virtual race for those who are unable to attend the marathon in person.

Due to the sheer size of the Baltimore Marathon, organizers will use a wide range of methods to keep runners informed. Techniques may include flyer printing, roadside Banners, social media posts, and radio announcements. Note that more information is likely to become available as the event draws closer.

The 25th annual Boston Marathon is being held on Saturday, October 18th. Fees will vary in accordance with the type of race, and group discounts may be available. The rallying point for the majority of events is McKeldin Plaza at Pratt Street. Those who wish to register, or want to obtain details of a specific race should visit the Baltimore Running Festival website.
