The Urban Life Center & Juice Bar in Baltimore will soon hold a course where children can learn how to cook healthy foods.
The Junior Chef Cooking Classes is a series where kids aged 9-12 can improve their cooking skills while learning about plant-based foods. The participants will be given an introduction to healthy foods and habits during the course. Each lesson will cover topics such as the benefits of juicing, how to create plant-based snacks, and making healthy lunches. Only eight children will be allowed to attend each session, and there are four classes in the series.
The Urban Life Center is an organization directed by John Rengifo and managed by Cristina Macena. The nonprofit wishes to improve the well-being of individuals by offering programs that help people improve emotionally, physically, and socially. Many classes are held at the center on topics like mental health, language, and nutrition. The juice bar at the organization also sells sandwiches, soups, and hot drinks.
The cooking classes will be held from June 28th to July 19th, and each session will be from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The cost to attend all four classes in the series is $40 per student, and the price of an individual lesson is $15. Nonprofits that offer kids educational experiences like this may use poster printing to market their lessons at local libraries or schools.
