Unique Wegmans grocery store opens in Natick
A new Wegmans supermarket recently opened inside the Natick Mall with special grand opening celebrations.
This Wegmans is 146,500 square feet in size and spans two levels in the mall. Rich Boscia, store manager, said this store is unique. The first level is predominately groceries along with frozen items, dairy, wellness and health, and beer, wine, and liquor, among other items, while the second floor has catering services, delicatessen, charcuterie, and a floral shop. There is a cart-conveyor system with an escalator next to it for customers to move from floor to floor.
There will be two restaurants on the upper level opening at the end of this week. One is The Burger Bar and Buzz Coffee Shop, specializing in burgers, sandwiches and salads. The other will be the Blue Dalia Restaurant & Tequila Bar, a Mexican restaurant that will serve craft cocktails and authentic Mexican cuisine.
There will be parking in the mall dedicated for the store. A skyway-style walkway provides access for customers to the second level of the store.
The store will be open seven days a week from 6:00 am until midnight. The store will also be offering a delivery service using nationally-known Instacart.
Various kinds of promotional products can be distributed at such events to publicize the grand opening of such a store as well as the weekly specials that may be offered.
