Two Natick seniors gain academic awards
Ryan Weierman and Addison Scully, seniors from Natick High School, have been presented with the Award for Academic Excellence from the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents.
This award is given out each year and honors seniors across the state who have demonstrated distinguished personal contributions to, and academic performance in, their high school communities.
News of such awards is often spread throughout a school and the rest of the community with banner printing.
Superintendent Bella Wong said that Scully has a nearly perfect transcript and brings insight, thoughtfulness, and kindness to all her classes every day. She added that Scully’s love of learning can be found in everything she does ranging from her education to her creative pursuits such as dance.
Scully is also involved in many after-school activities, and in mentoring and teaching younger dancers in the studio. Wong said she has truly served her community and exemplifies the finest qualities of scholarship and citizenship in Natick High School.
On Weierman, Wong noted that she is a passionate, enthusiastic, determined, and loyal person. She is in the highest percentile of her class and is eager to learn. Weierman is pursuing a rigorous course load at Natick High School while making many other meaningful and impactful contributions that include working with a student-led organization committed to the passage of the Healthy Youth Act.
