New administrators join Natick public schools

Two interim administrators will be filling roles in the Natick Public Schools this fall.

A principal for elementary and secondary schools in Framingham, Milton, Brookline, and Wayland, Robin Welch, will become interim principal at Memorial Elementary School. Welch will be replacing Susan Balboni, who has named as interim director of teaching, learning and innovation. Welch was principal of the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Framingham for 14 years. Anna Nolin, Superintendent of the Natick Public Schools, expressed her excitement about Welch’s experience and energy that he will bring to the school.

The interim vice principal at the Kennedy Middle School will be Dan Hausermann from Hopkinton. He has been at the Wilson Middle School as a literacy department head and a language teacher. Last year he was also principal of the 5-8 Remote Learning Academy. This is his 14th year in the field of education.

Nolin said that Hausermann expressed his thrill about joining the Middle School and looking forward to the upcoming academic year. Hausermann is replacing Christopher Glynn, who will become principal at the Millis Middle School. Such new appointees can inform parents about the upcoming school year, its programs, and its activities through mailers and booklets which are often created by local print shops.

Lastly, Jodie Cohen will become the new principal at the Kennedy Middle School. She is replacing Andrew Zitoli, who retired.
