Natick to host unique cycling event

All Aboard, an adaptive cycling program that will take place on the Cochituate Rail Trail, is being hosted by the town of Natick next month.

Such events can be promoted throughout a town and neighboring communities with poster printing.

The MathWorks Community Grant Program, the Rotary Club of Natick, and the MetroWest Health Foundation are providing grant funding for the program and partnering with the Friends of Natick Trails. There is additional support from volunteers. This program is expected to provide a healthy, safe, and enjoyable cycling experience for people of all abilities.

All Out Adventures will be partnering with Natick to bring experienced staff and a fleet of adaptive bicycles to the Mechanic Street lot on the Rail Trail. All Out Adventures is a non-profit organization, founded in 2001, whose programs are open to people of all ages, abilities, and experience levels, and are designed to break down the barriers to participation in outdoor recreation.

The staff will ensure that all gear is properly fitted, and volunteers will be available to accompany riders. All rides will start from the lot on Mechanic Street on the Rail Trail.

All Aboard is free and will take place on five Saturdays this year, with the first one planned for April 12. The remaining events will take place on May 10, June 14, September 13, and October 4.
