Applications are now available for the upcoming Citizen Leadership Academy in Natick.
This Academy lasts for 10 weeks and is designed to enable citizens of the town to better understand the operations of the government and for citizens and municipal leaders to hold conversations, network, and learn from one another. Among the topics covered in the course are the fire and police departments, finance, public works, and governance structure.
Sessions are held on Wednesdays, wither in the afternoon from 1:00 to 3:30 pm or in the evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at several locations around town. The sessions are led by staff from the town and they ensure that all learning experience are informative, interesting, and interactive.
The course is free and open to those who work or live in Natick. The goal is to have a diverse group of participants who are representative of the town’s population. Those who are interested in attending the Academy need to complete an application as space is limited. This can be done online or by a printed copy, which was most likely produced by a local Print shop. Printed Copies need to be brought to Town Hall for processing.
The course for next year begins on Wednesday, January 15 and ends on Wednesday, March 18 with a graduation ceremony.
