Natick insurance company makes major purchase
The operating assets of the Barr Insurance Agency, Inc. have been purchased by Eastern Insurance Group LLC, (EIG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Eastern Bank, based in Natick.
Barr has its headquarters in Watertown and is a family-operated, full-service insurance agency. This is the 34th acquisition made by Eastern Insurance of an independent insurance agency since 2020. Such acquisitions are often made known to those most interested with flyer printing services.
Barr has been in business for over 50 years and has helped both businesses and individuals with business and personal insurance matters. It is known for providing both businesses and individuals with a variety of insurance options that include homes, automobiles, and commercial options. President and CEO of Eastern Insurance Group LLC., John Koegel, said that because of these characteristics, as well as the long retention of customers for which Barr is known, his company is looking forward to welcoming Barr to EIG.
