What's Happening in Natick, MA…

Natick creates new leadership position

Changes in leadership have taken place in the town of Natick in the Facilities Department and the Department of Public Works (DPW).

Last year, these two departments operated independently with a director of each department. There was an opening for one of these positions, which created an opportunity to reorganize the two departments into one. Consequently, a more cohesive organizational structure was created to ensure that a forward-looking perspective would be able to carry out the 2030 Master Plan of the town.

Bill Spratt is the Executive Director of Public Works and Facilities, which is a newly created position. He has been Facilities Director for the past two years and has made a significant impact on the department. The West Natick Fire Station and the Kennedy Middle School construction projects were completed, and he helped to build a stewardship program for the replacement of capital assets before their end of life.

Such new positions typically require the hiring of business card printing services.

In addition, the Natick Public Schools and the town have welcomed two new directors—John Westerling as Director of DPW and Andy Rieder as Director of Facilities. Rieder has over 35 years of experience with roles in higher education, healthcare, and municipal facilities. Westerling has 22 years of direct experience in public works for two towns in Massachusetts.
