Natick company gets award from food bank

MathWorks based in Natick has been recognized by the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) for its work in ending hunger in the region with the Founders Award. MathWorks has made significant donations to the food bank in 2021 and 2022.

Announcements of such recognitions are often made known throughout a company with poster printing.

Any organization or individual who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership in human and philanthropic services is eligible for the Founders Award. It is also given to those who exemplify the mission of the GBFB through leadership, dedication, and outstanding involvement in working with others to help end hunger in the community.

MathWorks has continued to support Growing Healthy Futures, a fundraising campaign to end hunger held over the summer, which looks to raise funds so that the GBFB can provide healthy meals to young people and their families. As part of the campaign, MathWorks has matched up to $1m in donations for the last two years. These gifts have enabled the distribution of over four million meals.

Jeanne O’Keefe, Vice President and CFO of MathWorks, said that the staff at her company strongly support the efforts of the Greater Boston Food Bank. O’Keefe expressed her honor in receiving this award and said that the company is looking forward to continuing their support for such an important organization within the community.
