Home to the Veterans’ Office and the Natick Human Services and Council on Aging, the Natick Community-Senior Center has several special events lined up for this month.
On August 17 at 1:00 pm, Ciara Camire, a dietician from Eliot Rehab, will discuss healthy eating habits, focusing on the intake of sugar, creating a balanced diet, and adding wholegrain foods into a diet. There will also be time for questions and answers.
On the same day at 4:00 pm, Fairytale Dances of India will be presented by Smitha Radhakrishnan from the NATyA Dance Studio. It will be a family-oriented interactive experience using the classical dancing of India for telling Indian mythological stories and familiar fairy tales.
There will be a morning trip on August 24 to the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline. The Natick Connector Bus will leave from the Community Center at 9:30 am. Attendees will have an hour and a half to tour the museum, returning to the Center at noon, and can bring snacks and drinks.
Two sessions will be held on using an iPad. The first one, on Friday, August 12, will be on general use. The second one will be on August 26 about Apple TV.
The Center might benefit from the assistance of a local printing company to promote these events by means of Flyers and mailers.
