The Natick Service Council is running several Thanksgiving and Holiday Programs to help the less fortunate in the area.
As part of the Thanksgiving Program, a box filled with all the items needed to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner will be provided to those that have requested it. The Council looks to the community for sponsorship of families for these meals, and those that have contacted the Council to receive a family assignment can drop off meals at the office of the Natick Service Council on either this Thursday (November 19) or next Tuesday (November 24).
Holiday gifts and cards are provided to children, teens, and seniors as part of the Council’s Holiday Program. Sponsors are needed for each of these groups and, during the week of December 14, all donations will be dropped off at the Norton Center of Saint Linus Church.
The Council will also be participating in the national ‘One Warm Coat’ program. This matches individuals in need with gently used Outerwear. Those who are interested in participating can have a coat drive or donate individually.
The printing of Postcards that can be sent out to the community by means of Mailing services can help to make people aware of these programs and encourage them to participate, and help out those less fortunate during the holiday season.
