A new principal has been named for Memorial Elementary School in Natick. Troy Holding, currently the principal of Theodore Judah Elementary School in Sacramento, California will be joining the district over the summer.
Business card printing services are often called upon when such new hires are announced.
Holding expressed his excitement and honor about the position and being able to serve the school and the community. He said that he is looking forward to working with the faculty and staff to give the students the best possible elementary school experience.
In his current experience in the Sacramento City Unified School District, Holding provides support and resources in instruction, curriculum, and professional development to over 5,000 employees and more than 30,000 students. His focus is on directing the instruction and curriculum for all grades from pre-kindergarten through sixth.
Anna Nolin, superintendent of the Natick Public Schools, said that the professionals who were interviewed about Holding said that he creates personalize, warm, and lasting relationships with students and families and creates a culture of school pride and belonging. Nolin added that he has also demonstrated leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion in many school settings, traits that represent the ideal educator in Natick. His most recent supervisor said that the staff were enthralled with his vision of supporting children.
Holding will start his position on Friday July 1.
