Farm day to return to Natick

Natick will be holding its Farm Fest 2023 later this month.

The Farm 5K will be held at Lookout Farm. Participants are welcome to run, walk, hop, or skip through the course that will traverse under grapevine canopies, through orchards, and throughout the extensive property. Those who are interested in participating in the event should arrive by 8:00 a.m. with the race starting at 8:30 a.m. Brunch will be served in the Greenhouse after the race. The price to register is $20 for children under the age of 10 and $35 for adults.

The Seedling Sale will follow from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for members and from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the public. Attendees can purchase their organic seedlings for planting and talk with the farmers about best practices and tips for caring for plants. Among the seedlings available will be peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, many kinds of greens, cucumbers, squash, and herbs.

Family Farm Day will start at 11:00 a.m. with activities for children, farm demonstrations, food trucks, live music, and nature and story walks, among others. Admission to this event is $20 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 10.

The use of poster printing is an ideal way to promote such unique events throughout the community.

Farm Fest will take place on Saturday May 13 with the Seedling Sale also running on Sunday May 14.
