Fitchburg breakfast to mark National Sauna Week
Commonly thought of as a pleasant way to rest, relax, and rejuvenate, saunas have become increasingly popular, and a Fitchburg venue will be marking National Sauna Week with a special event.
The occasion will be celebrated by the Finnish Center at Saima Park, and it has a community activity in the works for a Saturday morning. The Center can be found at 67 Scott Road in Fitchburg, and all ages are welcome to participate.
The day will open with a hearty breakfast of bacon, pancakes, eggs, sausage, and fruit, and an assortment of breads and pastries will be served along with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The crowd can shop for baked goods as well as crafts, works of art, and other handmade items made in the local area, and honey and other bee products will also be on sale. The activity is part of a larger initiative organized by the Finlandia Foundation, which celebrates Finnish American culture.
Community event organizers often count on local print shops to ensure they have the banner printing and other services they need. These are available at different price points, with a wide selection of options available.
The Finnish Center at Saima Park has made arrangements to offer its Pannukakku Breakfast to the public on February 25. The meal will be served starting at 8:00 am.
