Acoustic bluegrass band prepares for Fitchburg concert
Sam Reid and the Riot Act will perform in Fitchburg next month. The concert is open to the public, and anyone is welcome to join.
The band hails from Somerville, and gains inspiration from bluegrass soul, with the music driven by the acoustic guitar. The band also employs a wide variety of other instruments in their music, including the use of mandolins and fiddles. The band’s last record is titled “Slow Burn” and was released in 2012.
Sam Reid and the Riot Act also provides music for private events. For bands who take bookings, business cards can be handed out to anyone looking for future contact.
The concert will take place at the Hollis Hills Farm, an open area that allows guests to enjoy music while outdoors. The farm also has a restaurant, bar, and ice-cream shop open during the weekend. Guests are invited to purchase some of the flowers and fruits available at the farm.
While at the venue, guests are required to follow COVID-19 protocols. Everyone should maintain a six-foot distance from each other and use handwashing and sanitation stations available at the venue.
