Soul Food Festival delivers flavor in Baton Rouge
Baton Rouge food enthusiasts looking for an immersive culinary experience will want to make a note in their diaries, as a food festival is coming to town.
The 8th Annual Baton Rouge Soul Food Festival will open its doors to registered guests and interested parties in a few weeks, providing an opportunity to discover new foods from competing restaurants and vendors. The family-friendly event will feature live music from Blues, R&B, and Soul artists to provide an enjoyable background soundtrack.
A vendor’s village will allow local artisans space to display their crafts and wares for guests to enjoy before participating in the judged Soul Food Competition. The competition is open to entrants from Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and Alabama. Competitors can choose from categories like Meats, Veggie and Side Dishes, Desserts, and Breads. Promotional products are an excellent option to spur engagement and create new connections with attendees at such events.
The top three finishers in each category will earn prizes for their efforts. Attendees can purchase VIP ticket packages that include complimentary beverages, food, and access to giveaways. Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room will hold a pre-party.
The food festival will be held at the Listening Room on Saturday, May 17th, with the doors opening at 11:00 AM. Attendance is free, and VIP tickets are available for $30 per person.
