Psychedelic rock band The Black Angels will be performing in Baton Rouge this coming January.
The venue of choice for this event will be Chelsea’s Live, which is a 6,300 square foot venue that serves as a replacement for the recently shuttered local favorite, Chelsea’s Cafe.
The Black Angels group is comprised primarily of five members – Alex Maas, Kyle Hunt, Jake Garcia, Christian Bland, and Stephanie Baily, each of whom handles multiple instrumental roles. The band was founded in 2004 and has since released multiple psychedelic albums to great underground acclaim.
Their songs have been featured in a multitude of media, including the TV shows Californication and Fringe, the film ‘Death Sentence’ and the Twilight saga. They have also performed at a number of highly reputable concerts and festivals, supporting musical acts such as The Black Keys and Wolf Mother. Tour dates, albums, and an online store with Apparel and Posters, each printed with a band-inspired graphic design are available on the band’s site.
The show will start at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Chelsea’s Live, which is located at 1010 Nicholson Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70801. Anyone who attends this event must be 18 and older and IDs will be checked. Tickets can be purchased on TicketWeb, and guests can email aaron@chelseaslive.com for more info.
