Legendary band to stop in Baton Rouge

A group with a formidable career will be bringing their show to locals in early October.

The Beach Boys have been working for just over 60 years. The original line-up consisted of Carl Wilson, Brian Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Al Jardine, and Mike Love. The Wilsons are a trio of brothers, and Love is their cousin. Dennis and Carl have both passed away, leading to a few line-up changes since. The current band is composed of Brian, Al, Mike, and Bruce Johnston.

The group is cited often as an inspiration for other artists. A few of the songs in the band’s extensive catalog are “Surfin’ U.S.A.,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice?,” “Kokomo,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “Good Vibrations,” “The Warmth Of The Sun,” and “California Dreamin’.”

The concert will be performed at the Baton Rouge River Center Theater, also known as the Raising Canes River Center. Shows like this one will often have booths selling merchandise from the artist with their Logo Design printed on it, with large venues likely to have more than one booth. Tickets for this event range in price from $49 to $146. The venue for the show has a “clear bag policy,” meaning only transparent Bags can be brought in. They also must be no bigger than 12 x 12 x 6 inches in size.

The show will kick off at 7:30 pm on October 5.
