A veteran band will be performing a show in Baton Rouge next month.
The Temptations have been around for 60 years. Dr. Otis Williams is the only original member still in the band, and will be turning 81 later this year. The current line-up consists of him, Ron Tyson, Willie Greene Jr., Terry Weeks, and Mario Corbino. With hits such as “Cloud Nine”, “Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone”, and “My Girl” among their catalog, the group has gone on to collect many accolades and avenues of entertainment. Some of these include world records, five Grammy Awards, and a Broadway Musical.
The tour is a part of the yearlong celebration of the group’s 60th anniversary. Tickets for the show currently go for between $35 and $183, with some of the higher costs being resale. Merchandise such as Copies of the latest album, shirts with a tour-related graphic design, accessories, and more are often available for purchase at similar events.
The venue for this concert is the L’Auberge Casino and Hotel Baton Rouge. Attendees are required to be aged 21 or older, as well as having a valid identification in order to attend the show. Details on the food and drinks available can be found through the venue’s website.
The concert will begin at 8:00 pm on Friday, June 17.
