Celebration to bring special guests to the Baton Rouge area

The Cajun Country Jam 4th of July Party in the Park will be taking place in Livingston Parish early next month.

The festival is set to feature plenty of musical performers, including Tracy Lawrence, LeRoux, Mark Chesnutt, and The Chee Weez. There are also set to be a number of celebrity guest stars, including Dawn Wells of ‘Gilligan's Island’ and Larry Wilcox from ‘CHIPS’. There will also be a reunion of several stars from ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ including Tom Wopat, John Schneider, Catherine Bach, and Rick Hurst. In keeping with the Dukes theme, an exhibition of replica Dukes cars and trucks will be present too.

In addition to music and special guests, there will be carnival rides, vendors of all kinds, and a firework spectacular. Food and drink will be available for purchase from a variety of concession stands.

To make sure everyone in the Baton Rouge area knows about this celebration, organizers have most likely worked with local poster printing companies to help advertise. The official event T-shirt most likely was also provided by local printers.

The Cajun Country Jam will be held at the Livingston Parish Fair Grounds on July 4 from 9:00 am - 10:30 pm. Admission is $20 in advance or $25 at the gate; the price includes unlimited carnival rides. To find out the latest about this Independence Day celebration, call 225-456-3082.
