Blues veteran to perform in Baton Rouge

Buddy Guy, the multi-Grammy Blues star, will soon be bringing his talents to the Baton Rogue River Center for Performing Arts.

The upcoming tour is in support of Guy’s new Album, “The Blues Don’t Lie,” which has already reached #1 on various music charts. Since this is likely to be the last major tour for the now 86-year-old artist, it has been billed as the “Damn Right Farewell” tour.

Guy has been performing for an incredible 50 years, and his latest album is his seventh #1 effort. During that time, he has earned dozens of awards from major music associations, including 38 Blues Music Awards. He has also written and performed countless blues songs.

The concert will start on Wednesday, March 1, with doors opening at 7:00 pm. The River Center for Performing Arts, located at 220 St. Louis Street, Baton Rogue, will play host to this concert. Tickets are on sale now and are ideal for fans of the blues or as a personal or corporate gift. They range in price from $64.50 up to $188 for the best seats. Patrons can make a night out of it and grab dinner or a drink at any of Baton Rouge’s local establishments.
