Nexus Louisiana has announced that it will host the 2nd annual Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week (BREW) in early May.
This multi-day experience will offer seminars, workshops, and networking opportunities for Baton Rouge area business leaders. It will culminate with the chance to win $100,000 in business investments.
The theme of this year's conference is “Staying Alive,” with many of the seminars and workshops at the event focusing on what businesses can do once they get past the start-up stage. Experienced business leaders will be on hand to discuss the lessons they have learned and how local business leaders can learn from the mistakes they made.
The "High Stakes Pitch” section of this event will give businesses the chance to compete for $100,000. If participating business meets certain requirements (including being Louisiana-based or willing to locate, achieving high-growth, and having less than $750,000 in revenue), they may be eligible to pitch to judges and win the grand prize of $100,000. This investment prize will be managed by Innovation Catalyst and Red Stick Angels.
According to BREW team members, the conference is designed to help businesses meet investors, fellow business leaders, and government officials. Attendees are encouraged to bring Business Cards and be prepared to network.
The event will take place at the Mid City Tower, 5700 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge. Registration for this multi-day conference is $100. It runs from Tuesday, May 7 to Thursday, May 9.
