Baton Rouge to host a marathon weekend

The 4th annual Louisiana Marathon is taking place for three days this January in Baton Rouge.

The event will start off with a two-day Wellness and Fitness Expo to be held at the River Center. Registered runners will have the opportunity to pick up their race packages at the show. A variety of companies related to health and exercise will be on hand to provide information on their products and services.

The Louisiana Marathon Pastalaya Dinner is being held the evening before the marathon. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for children. In addition to dinner, guests will hear from speakers Dave McGillivrey and Kim Rossiter. The location has not yet been finalized.

Race day will feature several marathons, including the Louisana Marathon, a half-marathon, the Advocate Cypress 5K, and the Kids' Marathon for children aged 12 and under. Registration fees range from $25 for the kids’ race up to $160 for both the full marathon and the 5K.

It is likely that Baton Rouge printing companies have helped to provide race organizers with the printed materials included in the packets.

The Louisiana Marathon weekend will be held from January 16 to 18. The races will all begin at the Louisiana State Capitol building. To get the most up-to-date information about this event, visit the official Louisiana Marathon website.
