A class will be presented on advanced buttercream and gum paste flowers in Baton Rouge in a few weeks.
The class will teach attendees how to create dogwood, orchids, tiger lily, and magnolias with the edible substances, and is a four-week course.
Participants are asked to bring various supplies to the class, including a container of buttercream, gum paste, flower impression sets, paste flower cut-outs, wire, Tape, a flower drying rack, a brush set, drying rack, shortening, and a container to take the flowers home.
The flowers will last at least a week in the refrigerator or months in the freezer. Used to decorate cakes, cupcakes and other pastries, the flowers can be painted using a food coloring mixture.
Poster printing is an ideal way to create imagery for classes of this type. The Posters can display pictures of class projects, processes, and end results. When created in full color, the Posters are dynamic and informative.
The buttercream and gum paste flower course will begin October 1 and continue each week through October 22. The classes will begin promptly at 9:30 am, and they will be held at Party Time located at 3350 Bluebonnet Blvd. in Baton Rouge.
The registration cost is $40.00. More information about the event, as well as the opportunity to sign up, is available online.
