The Louisiana Marathon is coming to Baton Rouge and is recognized as a culturally rich festival celebrating food, dance, and music through running.
The course is flat, fast, and fun. Adding to the mix, bands and local musicians will be on hand providing lively entertainment. Local craft beer and Southern cuisine rounds out the weekend.
Begun in 2012, the Louisiana Marathon had a two-part goal. The first step was to encourage residents and visitors to become more active and increase health. The other part was to become a major event on the national racing calendar, which was accomplished.
The event is multi-race which allows everyone to participate as best for them. A full 26.2-mile marathon is available, along with a half marathon (13.1 miles). A quarter marathon totaling 6.55 miles and a 5K are also on the list of selections. A one-mile race is available for children.
Flyer printing is often used to promote events of this type. The Flyers are typically printed in full color with some graphics or images and contain the information about the race. The contact information and website address should be included for easy reference.
