Zoo gets ready for a wild time

Locals in and around Southgate can attend a party for adults who are 21 years of age and over.

The Cincinnati Zoo and the Zoo’s Ambassador Council are hosting a ‘Zoo La La’ in the attraction’s newest exhibit, ‘Africa’. At this party, attendees can sip on drinks and enjoy small bites from local restaurants.

Guests can enter a raffle with zoo-related prizes. There will also be a chance to get up close and personal with some zoo creatures, hang out with other zoo supporters, and see a cheetah exhibit.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. Individuals can be an ‘Education Superhero’ sponsor for $1,000, which will allow a class of students to go on a field trip. For $525, ‘Sleeping Bag Sponsors’ will give 15 kids the chance to go to an after-hours zoo event.

Proceeds will go to help the ‘Living Classroom Education Access Fund’ which provides complimentary educational field trips to disadvantaged schools. Funds will also go to help maintain the zoo.

Tickets cost $75 until next Tuesday, May 19, when the price will go up to $100. Tickets can be purchased online on the zoo’s website and are expected to sell out. No doubt Stationery printers helped create tickets for the event.

The party takes place on May 29 from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm. The Cincinnati Zoo is located on 3400 Vine Street.
