Southgate’s classic car enthusiasts are putting the pedal to the metal to get to the Third Annual Cruise In. The evening will be filled with music, prizes, and plenty of classic cars.
The event is being organized Country Cruisers, a group of auto enthusiasts that formed a nonprofit in 1990 with the goal of organizing family friendly car shows in the Kentucky and Ohio area. The group meets monthly and provides a number of different events in the area. The Cruisers will provide the bulk of the classic cars on display, though there will also be space available for other car lovers to bring their own classics. Since this is a family event, no alcohol will be allowed.
In addition to the cars, music will also be provided by the Country Cruisers. Rather than live music the group will bring a variety of Classic Rock and other popular music to be played over a sound system. A raffle will also be held at the event, offering prizes to anyone who has bought a ticket. The prizes are all Promotional Products that have been donated by local businesses.
The Southgate Cruise In will be held this Sunday, July 24 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm along Electric Ave. Admission to the event is free, but there is a charge to purchase raffle tickets or the food and drinks sold at the Southgate Firehouse.
