Something fishy is going on along the Ohio River. For the 27th time, the Great Inland Seafood Festival 2014 will satisfy the appetites of thousands of seafood lovers.
Along with the scenic river view, guests can enjoy free admission and entertainment. Live Maine lobsters will be served for $10.95 each. Typically, this popular promotion sells out before the end of festival.
In addition to lobsters, restaurants and vendors will be selling a wide variety of fresh shellfish and other seafood. It is likely that businesses will have used a banner printing service to help create promotional materials for the event. The festival is an opportunity for these vendors to attract more business and allow festival-goers to sample their food.
It will take place at Festival Park Newport located on Riverboat Row, only a few minutes from Southgate. Plenty of parking is available near the venue.
The Ohio River is home to many recreational activities, such as boating, waterskiing, and fishing. The festival’s location is also close to the Purple People Bridge; a pedestrian bridge that connects Ohio to Kentucky.
The festival is set for August 14 through August 17. During the weekdays, it will take place from 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm. On August 16, the hours are noon until 11:00 pm, and the festival will run from noon until 9:00 pm on August 17. For more information, call 859-292-3666.
