Locals in and around Southgate can soon take part in a recreational nighttime race.
The GlowBash is a 5K run and walk that takes participants on a scavenger hunt.
The two-in-one experience gives runners clues so they can find the next spot to visit. After the event, participants will be given a medal and can then attend a special party. The top three teams will get a trophy.
Registration costs $85 and includes a glow in the dark shirt. Participants can register as an individual or as a team.
To avoid an additional $5 fee on the event day, runners should collect their packets on April 24 from noon until 5:00 pm at Bob Roncker’s Running Spot, located on 317 Monmouth Street in Newport. Identification is necessary to pick up race day materials.
The GlowBash holds races across the country that help charities. No doubt the event organizers have utilized printing services to create Banners and Posters to use during the race. Flyers can also be used for promotional purposes.
The race kicks off on April 25 at 7:00pm. Registration takes place 30 minutes prior to the race, and there will be a meeting at 6:45 pm. Right before the race, the clues will be passed out.
