Northern Kentucky seeks applicants for young professionals award

The Northern Kentucky Young Professionals (NKYP) has opened nominations for the Next Generation Leader Awards (NGLA) for 2022.

The NGLA, which is a program of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, honors young professionals under the age of 40 to recognize their contributions and commitment to the community and major accomplishments within the professional field of their choice. Such young professionals in Southgate would be eligible for such an award. Director, Special Events at NKYP, Christie Rogers, said that these awards celebrate the talented and transformative young leaders who are positively impacting the region.

Young professionals can be recognized in 10 categories. These include education; arts, entertainment, and hospitality; professional services; medical and healthcare services; public relations; and technology among others. Nominations should be based on primary job responsibilities and not the category of the company for which they work. Poster printing van be used throughout a region to make the public aware of such awards and how to nominate those who meet their criteria.

The deadline to nominate someone for the NGLA is Tuesday March 15. Those who are nominated will receive a link to apply for the ward and need to complete the application by Wednesday April 13. The finalists will be announced in May and all finalists and winners will be honored in July at the annual NGLA Celebration.
