New mixed-use development opens in northern Kentucky

Academy on 4th, a project that was the result of a collaboration between the city of Newport and CRG Residential is now open.

The new building is located along Fourth Street between Saratoga and Monmouth Streets, and is within walking distance of downtown Cincinnati by means of the Taylor-Southgate and Purple People bridges. The project cost $37 million to build and is a market-rate apartment building that occupies the site of what was once the Fourth Street Elementary School.

David George, Vice President of Development for CRG, said the property has 202 apartment units and will be offering 3,000 square feet of retail space. He added that there is a courtyard with an outdoor kitchen and resort-style pool that the development is built around.

Other amenities include an electronic parcel delivery system, building offices, and a parking garage with 202 spaces. More information about such amenities are often provided with brochure printing.

Tom Fromme, City Manager of Newport, said that Academy on 4th will be part of the tremendous residential growth that is taking place in the city and includes over 700 apartment units in the downtown area.

Fromme added that this new development is part of the transformation of the city into one of the best places in northern Kentucky, Greater Cincinnati, and the entire Midwest.
