Mermaids dive into local aquarium exhibit

This month, Southgate locals may wish to make a short trip, as the Weeki Wachee Mermaids pay a visit to the Newport Aquarium.

Wearing bright fish tails, they will be swimming around the thriving aquatic life inside the immense Coral Reef Exhibit. Aquarium guests will also have the opportunity to meet, chat, and have their picture taken with the mermaids, all of which is included with the aquarium’s admission price.

Tickets cost $23 for adults and $15 for kids. Children under two years of age can attend free. Annual passes are also available. No doubt Print companies have been busy creating Flyers and Posters. These promotional items will help inform residents in Newport, and nearby Southgate, about the mermaid fun. The aquarium is located on One Aquarium Way at Newport on the Levee

The mermaids will be on display from October 10 to October 19 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. In addition, the meet and greet will take place from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

For an additional fee, guests can sign up for the 'Mermaid Overnight Adventure' on October 11 from 7:30 pm until 9:00 am. 'Breakfast with the Mermaids' is another special event to attend. For an additional cost, guests can eat a hearty breakfast, meet a mermaid, and gain early admission to the aquarium. The breakfast takes place at 8:30 am on October 11 and 12.
