Valentine’s Day in and around Southgate just got a little bit more unusual.
‘Cupid’s Undie Run’ invites participants to run a mile, or close to it, in their undergarments to support the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Afterwards, there will be some post-race activities.
Participants can choose to fundraise individually or as a team. Those who raise a minimum of $1 will receive a T-shirt. There are also additional fundraising prizes.
The Foundation aims to end Neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that is currently without a cure. Proceeds from the Cupid’s Run will go to research, treatment, and awareness, along with patient and family support.
No doubt a flyer printing service was contacted to create handouts to pass out to the community. The Flyers could list the event’s agenda, purpose, and locations.
Since Cupid’s Undie Run is a nonprofit organization, volunteers are essential to making the event successful. Volunteers can help with event day setup, packet distribution, or a variety of other positions.
Registration costs $55, and participants can get a referral link to share. If three friends register with the link, the referrer will be given $10 in ‘Cupid Cash’ to spend at the ‘Cupid’s Undie Run’ store.
The fun starts on February 14 at Arnie’s on the Levee, located on 120 East 3rd Street in Newport. The pre-run party starts at noon. Awards will be handed out at 1:00 pm and the run begins at 2:00 pm.Get a Free Quote for Flyers
