The biggest bourbon toast in the world will be held later this month by New Riff Distilling, a distillery based in Northern Kentucky that offers a different twist on American whiskey.
The event is looking to achieve the ‘World’s Biggest Bourbon Toast’, and wants Guinness World Records to prove it.
The Newport Southgate Bridge is where the toast will take place. The bridge links the headquarters of the distillery, which is in Newport, with Downtown Cincinnati across the Ohio River. Many residents of nearby Southgate will surely want to take part in this historic event.
The toast will be hosted by the founder of New Riff Distilling, Ken Lewis. Joining him will be Jerry Peluso, Mayor of Newport, local dignitaries, and over 500 people who are bourbon enthusiasts from both Ohio and Kentucky. It is planned that this will be the inaugural event of the toast and will be held every year in the future.
The toast, which is a preview of the new bourbon, will take place on July 31. The drink will officially launch on August 1 when it will be available for purchase at noon in the gift shop of the distillery.
