Hotel to be built along Ohio River in Southgate area

The Margaritaville Hotel Resort on the Levee will be built in Newport along the Ohio River.

It will be developed by Newport Hotel Association, a joint venture partnership between Stormont Hospitality Group, High Street Real Estate Partners, and North American Properties (NAP).

The project will create 282 jobs, of which 95 will be part-time and 187 will be full-time. Residents of Southgate who are looking for employment will most likely be interested in such a project and the economic boost it brings to the area.

The Margaritaville Hotel Resort will have 264 rooms, a pool on the 12th floor, and a JWB Grill, License to Chill Bar. Next to the hotel will be a Five O’Clock Somewhere Bar and Grill with views of Cincinnati, over 10,000 square feet of event and meeting space, and retail space. Brochure printing is often employed to provide more details about such hotels and their amenities.

President and CEO of meetNKY, Julie Kirkpatrick, expressed her thrill about this new addition to the tourism community of Northern Kentucky. She said that this project will offer an elevated experience for those coming to the Kentucky riverfront. President of the Campbell County Economic Progress Authority, Justin Otto, hailed the project as the beginning of a transformative era for the county.

The hotel is expected to be completed in the fall of 2026.
