Chocolate lovers unite at festival

Locals in and around Southgate can satisfy their taste buds at a delicious upcoming event.

The 6th Annual Cincinnati Chocolate Festival will give attendees the opportunity to taste a variety of chocolate samples.

Along with chocolate, there will be raffles, contests, and activities for the kids. In addition, professionals will put on cooking demonstrations that focus on topics such as healthy eating or how to make a triple chocolate tart. Chef Ben Vaughn will show guests how to make a recipe from his recently published cookbook. Later, attendees will have an opportunity to buy and have the cookbook signed.

General admission costs $10. However, individuals can purchase $7 discounted tickets at Kroger. Children, aged 12 and under, get in for free with a paid adult. Admission includes five tickets to sample different chocolates. For an additional $15, guests can have access to the Maverick Chocolate Lounge. Admission includes four chocolate and wine pairings and two bonus chocolate samples.

The event will benefit the Issac M. Wise Temple Sisterhood, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping others.

The festival will take place on October 11 from noon until 5:00 pm. It is likely a poster printing service was involved in helping create promotional Signs for the event.

The event will be held at the Cintas Center at Xavier University, located on 1624 Herald Avenue in Cincinnati. For more information, call 937-620-9255.
