Lexington’s online bookseller, eCampus.com, is getting into the digital learning business with the recent launch of a new division.
Given the name ‘eTechCampus’, the group will target its products on the K-12 student. Impetus for the new direction comes in response to the spreading use of mobile devices in K-12 classrooms across the country. eCampus.com executives noticed that 80% of the K-12 schools that were part of their customer base were providing all students with devices. It was soon clear this movement sparked a spike in demand for compatible learning software, from e-textbooks to other class materials needed for online courses.
Matt Montgomery, CEO of eCampus.com, brought Greg French on board to lead the new division. French’s background includes heading the team that launched a project in the Woodford County Schools. In that effort, teachers and students in all the classrooms were using iPads for instruction and learning.
Business for the eTechCampus division, according to French, has grown and this means hiring more experts in the areas of digital instruction and online course development.
Converting to a digital learning environment is not just for schools. Businesses from Print companies to global corporations are also moving to this approach to satisfy staff training needs.
Recognizing the burgeoning prospects in this arena, eTechCampus provides consulting to assist any organization interested in transitioning their learning and training needs to a digital platform. The division recently released the Converge Learning Management System, a new software product designed specifically for that purpose. Get a Free Quote for Print
