Symphony to perform hit Beatles songs in Lexington

Fans of The Beatles and the British Invasion will want to make a note in their Journals for next month, as a symphony coming to Lexington is planning a unique performance of the Fab Four’s biggest hits.

Twist and Shout: The Music of The Beatles is getting ready to perform in front of a live audience in Lexington, putting a classical spin on hits that spurred the growth of rock-and-roll music. The event will be a symphonic experience of music, with the arrangements being developed by Jeff Tyzik.

The performance itself will celebrate the arrival of The Beatles on the shores of the United States, starting with their first live appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show in February of 1964. It will follow their journey of touring in the U.S., including iconic performances at New York’s Shea Stadium and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. Musical performances are well-suited to poster printing for increased awareness, with Posters providing images and text that draw attention.

Several top hits, including Yesterday, I Want to Hold Your Hand, A Hard Day’s Night, and She Loves You, will be heard. It is a musical event that Beatles fans will not want to miss.

The Singletary Center for the Arts in Lexington will host the symphonic performance on Friday, January 23rd, at 7:30 PM. Tickets start at $28 for adults and $11 for children online.
