Lexington residents who want to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of nature are in luck, as a forest bathing experience is being organized in town.
Forest Bathing with Andi Jasper will be coming to Lexington this April with the goal of introducing interested parties to the mental and physical wellness benefits of time in nature. The hike’s leaders will guide participants into the local wilderness to enjoy the golden hour of a spring evening.
Attendees will receive guidance and tips on how to slow down, release anxiety, and improve their mental health by becoming immersed in nature. The technique, which is native to Japan, focuses on sensory exploration and curiosity to help each individual feel more connected to the trees, plants, and wildlife around them. Grassroots marketing campaigns can use flyer printing to produce eye-catching materials that generate excitement over such events.
The forest bathing experience is open to interested parties aged 16 and over. The hike will cover around 1.5 miles and the trail will feature some areas with uneven terrain. Participants will want to bring water, and snacks are also encouraged.
The Floracliff Nature Sanctuary in Lexington will play host to the forest bathing sessions, which are slated for Friday, April 17th, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Guests should account for rush hour traffic to arrive on time. Reservations cost $15.18 per person online.
