Cookie decorating brings spooky season to Lexington

Lexington bakers and artisans will want to save the date for an opportunity to learn new skills, as a cookie decorating workshop is coming to town.

The Sugar Cookie Decorating Class: Halloween edition has opened registration to interested parties who want to elevate their decorating skills in preparation for the holidays. The course will be led by The Traveling Cupcake, and students will learn all the tips and techniques they can use for decorating sugar cookies with icing, sprinkles, and more.

The class will also provide an icing recipe that participants can replicate at home. Printing services can create recipe sheets and other informative documents for such events to help attendees retain more knowledge and continue practicing at home. All the necessary ingredients and tools will be provided at the workshop.

It is an ideal setting for beginners or anyone who is curious about what goes into decorating sugar cookies. Guests are welcome to invite friends and family to attend and learn with them. The classroom is able to accommodate up to 20 students, and the class is open to interested parties 8 and older. No baking skills are required.

The Local Lex Market will host the cookie decorating workshop on Saturday, October 18th, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, providing time to ask questions and decorate. Tickets are $64.17 per student online.
