Fundraising dinner raises cancer awareness in Lexington

A fundraising dinner is in the works in Lexington for this October aiming to raise funds and bring awareness to early cancer detection and prevention for women of color in the community.

A Pink Renaissance: 5th Annual Pink-Out Fundraiser is coming to Lexington this autumn, providing attendees with an evening filled with elegance, hope, purpose, dinner, and new connections. It is being organized by Colors of Promise, a grassroots organization that uses its platform to connect with and educate women of color about breast cancer.

Organizers are expecting it to be a memorable evening, with Dr. Veronica Morgan Jones acting as the fundraiser’s guest speaker. She will be followed by survivors who will share their stories and provide inspiration to those in the audience. Brochure printing can be invaluable when planning events like this, providing an agenda for the evening to attendees as they arrive.

Dinner will follow the survivor stories, as well a live auction where guests can win rare and collective items and experiences while supporting a good cause. The event’s dress code will be Renaissance Elegance or semi-formal attire featuring guests’ favorite shade of pink.

The Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center in Lexington has been chosen as the host venue. The fundraiser is set for Saturday, October 3rd. The doors open at 7:00pm, and tickets are $55.20 per guest online.
