Chance to start the festive season downtown

Frankfort and its neighboring cities’ residents and visitors who are looking for a way to start the Christmas season will soon have the opportunity to do so.

Coming to downtown Frankfort will be a festival that over the years has become regarded as the unofficial start of the Christmas holiday season by locals. The festival is a four-day event, and this year it will be formally entitled The 36th Annual Candlelight Tradition. Due to the event’s popularity, in 2012 it was noted to be one of Kentucky’s top 10 events for the fall season. As the festival continues year after year, it continues to include something of interest to those who are young and those who are older.

Just to name a few, the event will feature carriage rides and special appearances by Old Saint Nick. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take pictures with Frosty the Snowman. There will be marching bands and stage performances, tree lighting ceremonies, bell choir performances, children singers, stringed instrument performances and so much more. There will be various vendors onsite, including some who will be selling baked goods to the public as a fundraiser. Event organizers might benefit from Banners that provide direction and aesthetic appeal.

It’s all happening on November 10 to 13 in downtown Frankfort, which is just 20 miles northwest of Lexington.
