Kentucky Derby party brings celebrations to Georgetown

Georgetown residents will want to dust off their boots and dress their best, as a Kentucky Derby party is being organized to celebrate.

The Blue Jeans, Boots, and Bulls Derby Pre Party will kick off in a few weeks after partnering with the Coaches for Kids organization, with the goal of raising funds for a good cause. The event will act as a celebration of the upcoming Kentucky Derby while allowing the community to rally around the fundraising opportunity.

Attendees are asked to put on their best pair of blue jeans and their favorite boots and hit the dance floor. The evening will include the Derby Calcutta and a live auction, with the proceeds going to the Kentucky Children’s Hospital NICU, Timber’s Grateful Companions, and Old Friends. Banner printing is a classy way to promote such events while providing visibility to event sponsors.

Guests who purchase tickets will enjoy appetizers and hors d’oeuvres, an open bar for refreshments and alcoholic beverages, a silent auction, a live auction, and music from a local Eagles cover band. The first 400 attendees to arrive will also receive a Maker’s Mark glass and swag bag filled with goodies.

The pre-party will be held at 4561 Iron Works Pike in nearby Lexington on Friday, May 2nd, with the doors opening at 5:00 PM. An all-inclusive ticket is $100 per person online.
