Haunted mansion event raises funds in Georgetown

Georgetown residents who want to experience a masquerade event from a different time are welcome to attend a spooky fundraiser in an opulent setting.

The Haunted Mansion Fundraiser for the Arts will begin in a few weeks. The masquerade theme is the Villain’s Ball. Guests will be ushered into a 19th-century Greek Revival Mansion that blends luxury with mischief and mystery. Attendees will have an opportunity to embrace their inner villains from throughout literature, history, and film.

The funds raised by the masquerade will go to support the Youth Theatre of the Bluegrass and Ward Hall Preservation Foundation. Some of the evening’s highlights will include a Villain’s Ball with a live DJ, a silent auction, spooky entertainment, and a series of delicious food and beverages to ensure a memorable evening. Flyer printing can spread awareness of such events throughout the community using grassroots marketing.

Interested parties are expected to adhere to a dress code when attending. Each guest should dress as their favorite villain from history or pop culture. Creativity and elegance are welcome, though gory or political costumes will not be allowed. The event is designed for adults only, and IDs will be checked.

Ward Hall will host the masquerade ball on Friday, October 25th. The doors will open at 7:00 PM, and the event will conclude at 11:00 PM. Ticket reservations are available online, costing $60 per guest.
