Georgetown prepares for event to boost reading prowess

Pawsibilities Unleashed, in partnership with the Scott County Public Library, is set to unveil an event promising to captivate young bookworms and dog lovers.

The "Books & Best Friends: Read to Therapy Dogs event is an interactive initiative that aims to provide a platform for mushrooming readers in Georgetown and beyond to practice their reading skills in the company of specially trained therapy dogs.

Designed to foster a love for reading and bolster literacy skills, the event invites all young readers regardless of their reading ability. This is whether they're beginners eager to flaunt their newfound reading prowess or struggling readers seeking a relaxed atmosphere. The library encourages kids to showcase their reading prowess by sharing tales with gentle, non-judgmental furry listeners.

With an emphasis on fostering a comfortable and supportive environment, this activity seeks to make reading a stress-free experience for children. Organizers of events like these can use Promotional Products to give away to attendees to encourage active participation. The event is free, and parents are invited to register their children in person and check in with the Youth Staff upon arrival.

The "Books & Best Friends" event is scheduled for Saturday, September 2nd, 2023, and will take place in Meeting Room F at the Scott County Public Library from 2 to 3 pm. The library is at 104 South Bradford Ln, Georgetown, KY 40324.
