Farm tour brings fresh flavors to Georgetown

A local farm is opening its gates to Georgetown residents next month, offering an opportunity to learn about growing and cooking with fresh ingredients and produce.

The Farm Fresh Flavors event will start in a few weeks, with Elmwood Stock Farm welcoming registered guests for an informative tour and day of farm education. Georgetown farmer Mac Stone will lead the tour, taking attendees through the fields to see the crops and livestock at the organic farm. Guests will then return to the farm store for fresh ingredients.

Attendees will learn about regenerative and organic farming to grow fresh foods and limit the impact of agriculture on the environment. The tours are two hours long, and each tour examines the techniques used to grow fresh produce. Greenhouse production systems and livestock facilities will also be focal points of the tour. Promotional Products are a fantastic way for local businesses to build bonds with their communities at such events.

The tour will proceed with rain or shine, and registered guests should dress for the weather. Attendees are also encouraged to arrive ten minutes early to ensure the tour begins at 9:00 am. Comfortable shoes and old clothes are recommended to limit stains and damage.

The tour is scheduled for Saturday, June 15th. Tickets can be purchased online for $15 per adult, and kids get free admission.
