The curtain is set to go up for a 1980s movie-themed fundraiser set to be hosted at the Central Resource Library of the Johnson County Library system in Overland Park.
The Library has set the date for a blockbuster party that will take a step back in time to the days of mullets, neon clothing, and “big hair” bands. There will be community leader volunteers lending a hand, and plenty of themed fun in the mix.
Guests will be sipping on ‘80s-style cocktails paired with an assortment of bites. The excitement of the Golden Ticket Draw will see one of the ticketholders go home with the prize of a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. The silent auction for an assortment of experiences alongside Corporate Gifts will help to raise even more for the library, and the all-night dance party will serve up a selection of ‘80s tunes.
